The site is capable of accomodating upto 200 campers for a weekend camp. Longer camps can be held but with fewer campers. In an emergency there is one Ceaderwood Cabin, the Calverts Cabin, that can be used to sleep in, although no beds are available. The Calverts Cabin can also be used during the day for eating and indoor activities - 6 tables and 12 benches are available for use, allowing approximately 50 campers to sit around the tables. There is also a fridge/freezer available in the cabin that can be used by any camping group. Next to the Calverts Cabin is a Kitchen that can be used by booking in advance. The Kitchen comes complete with a fridge, freezer and a cooker (five gas rings, electric oven) - there is also a limited supply of cooking equipment. Campers using the kitchen automatically have the use of the Calverts Cabin. Washbasins, Showers and toilets can be found in the adjacent Ablution Blocks. Standpipes are also situated around the site for cooking and drinking. At the end of one of the toilet blocks is also a room housing a sink and draining board that can be used for washing up of pots if required. |
